Doors/Gates: At each secure access point, a Time Recorder along with Electronic Lock are fitted. When the card is swiped, the Time Recorder checks if - the card is valid - if it is permitted to allow entry - if any time zone restrictions apply (i.e. access denied during a specific time interval). If all the conditions are satisfied, then the lock is activated, and the door can be opened. PCs: The smart card can be utilised for secure login to the PC. A password is stored in the card, which validates that keyed in by the used. The card will also keep track of how many hours were used.
